Before you begin

Google Ads is a platform where advertisers pay per click (or impression) on an ad. It's an effective way to drive qualified traffic. With Google Ads, you can boost your traffic and increase in-store visits.

On Affise MMP, you can set up Google Ads integration to a certain application and track your campaigns.

Google Ads

To find Google Ads, go to Applications > a certain application > Google Ads.

Here you can enter the link ID and send test install.

Also, you can connect Google ads accounts. The list of connected accounts you will see in the table below.

🔎 You can add more than one Google account to the table.

To add new events, use the Google Ads Events section.

⚠️ It's mandatory to add the Install event mapping to First Open to get attribution from Google.

On the Google Ads side, note the following:

  • Set up New conversion action. There, you are to select Track actions on your app > Third-party app analytics.

  • Events to import are to appear once the ad campaign is live and the first events are sent.

Set up install distribution among partners

To ensure proper install attribution and distribution among your Google Ads partners, follow these steps:

  1. Create a partner in Affise MMP who is to launch ad campaigns in Google Ads. To do this, go to Partners > Add new Partner.

  2. In the partner list, get a Partner ID. This PID is essential for correct attribution.

  3. Provide the PID to your Google Ads partner so they can include it in their campaign names.

  4. Make sure your partners set up campaign names correctly. They are to include their PID in the campaign name using the following format:

campaign_name=PID_CampaignName

e.g.

PID: 1575

Campaign Name: MyCampaign

Correct Campaign Name: 1575_MyCampaign

🔍 If the PID is included correctly in the campaign name, Affise MMP automatically attributes installs and events to the correct partner.

If the PID is missing or formatted incorrectly, the install is attributed to the default Google Ads partner.
