Before you begin:

Engagement

The Engagement report displays user engagement in the application. The more time the user spends in the application, the more points of contact the owners of the application have with their users. This allows you to better understand the value of the application for the user.

Filters

In the Engagement slice, filters work the same way as in Overview. Read more.

Also, there's an option to use the Cohort mode:

  • The Cohort mode toggle is off: the report shows all the events that happened during the selected period from all the users.

  • The Cohort mode toggle is on: the report shows data attributed only to the new users who came during the selected period.

Table

In the Engagement slice, the table contains the following columns:

where:

  • Date: the date from the selected period.

  • Summary timespent: total time of sessions for all users.

  • Timespent on user: average time of sessions per user.

  • Average sessions time: average time of a session per user.

You can manage your table with the following options:

  • The Edit columns button to manage the columns you want to see.

  • The Get link button to pass the statistics report outside the attribution system.

  • The Update button to update the data in the slice.
