Conversion types

Written by Natalya Yefimenko

If you work with tracking systems other than Affise MMP and want to send postbacks on Affise MMP events, you can use the Conversion types feature to manage this process.

Conversion types allow you to give custom names to raw event names and further map them to event names of other tracking systems.

Conversion types presets

To manage conversion types, go to the Conversion types section.
By default, there is a list of preset conversion types that already exist in the system. They contain names in the Conversion types column and event names from SDK or sent via API in the Events mapping column.

Add custom conversion types

If you work with any specific events, you can add them as custom conversion types besides the default ones.

🔍 These are general conversion types used at the platform level. Read here how to add conversion types for a specific application and set up postbacks.

To add your conversion type, do the following:

  1. Click Add conversion type.

  2. Add your conversion type name in the Conversion type field.

  3. Click Add event.

  4. Specify the event that you send from SDK or via API, or select the Affise MMP preset event.

🔍 You can add several events for one conversion type (for example, if you send events both from SDK and via API). Further, you can set up sending postbacks to different tracking systems in your application settings for the same conversions type.

Once you add a custom conversion type, it is added to the common list with the label Own.
